'Tuesdays With Morrie', A Sneak Peek.

"The truth is, once you learn how to die, you learn how to live."

Have you got any close relationship with your teacher or lecturer at university? To Mitch, his former professor was more than a mere lecturer.

In 'Tuesdays With Morrie,' Mitch shared his experience with his former professor, Morrie Schwartz.

It all started with a TV show which hooked his attention when he noticed his former professor having interviews with ABC; one of the famous channels in the US. But in the interview, Morrie was not in a good condition of health (ie he was dying).

This was a key moment for Mitch to reconnecting the relationship as their last meet-up was taken place during his graduation.

So, he decided to get on a plane to Boston, a quite suburb where his professor lived. At first, he felt nervous when seeing his 'coach' (since he once called Morrie coach during his studies days), sitting in a wheelchair.

Mitch was not prepared for this reunion. He froze and felt uneasy to meet his former professor while Morrie sat in a wheelchair, waiting for Mitch to emerge from the car.

After taking a few minutes, he pulled over and gave his professor a very tight hug after a long moment of not meeting each other.

"My old friend, you've come back at last." Surprisingly, Morrie still recognized him very well.

All his memories with Morrie during Mitch's graduation started to pour out. He almost forgot how close they once were.

Morrie then served him with bits of help from his Italian helper named Connie. They held a deep conversation, reminiscing the days when Morrie was teaching him at university. Despite getting numerous phone calls from others, Morrie asked Connie to just write the names down for those who made a call since he wanted to talk to Morrie without any interruption.

The conversation went almost 2 hours. Mitch tap his thighs, showing that it was enough for that conversation. Morrie 'begged' him to regularly visit him and later set Tuesday as the day for Mitch to come over to visit him.

Mitch continued visiting his former professor on Tuesday and listened to Morrie's thoughts on "The Meaning of Life." It came with different topics such as regrets, fear, marriage and love which had been listing out by Mitch. The conversations went on until Morrie's life was taken away on 4th November 1995

Personally, it's a great memoir that can really touch our hearts upon reading it. It will teach you the meaning of life and how to live it with an open heart.

The way Morrie conveyed his thoughts in words would make you think again of what's the meaning of life.

To those who read this, what are you waiting for? Go and give it a shot to read this wonderful memoir.
